Eating

Under stress we either skip meals or over eat. Skipping meals can promote a hypoglacaemic or low blood sugar pattern often exaggerating our stress symptoms.

People who suffer low blood sugar often do not eat breakfast, may skip lunch and eat only in the evening. They may also depend heavily on frequent shots of caffeine, chocolate or cigarettes to get them going.

To combat these patterns eat regularly, mostly high protein, and cut back on sugar and caffeine.

Over eating generally will lead to overweight and another anxiety. Do eat as often as you like but make sure it isn't sugar or other comfort foods. Take to your office with you carrots, celery, fruit and eat as much as you want. Chew on old-fashioned licorice root to help with the need to chew. It also supports the adrenal system.
