Sounds like an old cliché but is piece of advice that is basic to long term health because every pattern of thought will create and affect brain chemistry which can affect mood and well being. How we think can be vitally important to managing stress.

Some people have a naturally pessimistic view of life. For them the glass is always half empty while the natural optimist looks at life as series of challenges or enjoyable moments and for these people the glass is, more often than not, half full.

A simple definition of a pessimist is someone who sees a disaster in every opportunity, while an optimist is someone who sees an opportunity in every disaster.

The situation for either type of person is, in reality, no different simply the way it is being looked and responded to. Start seeing life as a series of opportunities and create the brain chemistry you want.
