It's not my fault

When we use this phrase in relation to what's going on in our lives it can mean that we are not taking responsibility for the issue. Yes, it may have been someone else's fault that some event occurred but we are left with the responsibility for moving that situation on.

Someone who repeatedly uses this phrase is implying that if it's not their fault" then it must be someone else's and that it is also someone else's responsibility to sort it out. In other words, as a self appointed victim they can't, or wont resolve it. Consequently, in taking this stance they are always waiting to be rescued.

George Bernard Shaw wrote: "People are always blaming circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them". Start today.
